Built around the application.
Wooden skid construction should be selected around the actual machinery or cargo rather than a generic pallet format. A skid of wood may use longitudinal runners, cross members, deck supports or reinforced beams depending on weight distribution and handling. Wooden base skids should provide suitable support under equipment feet or structural frames while preserving forklift and securing clearances. Industrial wooden skids, material handling skids and shipping skids can also be integrated with crates, barriers and blocking systems. Final timber sizes, fasteners, runner spacing and treatment should be confirmed from the load, drawing and transport conditions before manufacture.
